Free aviation tools for flight schools, CFIs, and students.
Use PilotDesk as a free student resource library: aviation calculators, online E6B, FAA written prep, checkride study hubs, Daily questions, and embeddable calculator widgets. Calculators, guides, Daily, and embeds do not require a student account. Written Prep sessions need a free account; full interactive checkride practice requires Pro. Public tools do not require a reciprocal link.
Send the scenario. Let the student explain it.
Share a calculator setup, guide, or Daily challenge between lessons. Have the student change an input and explain what happens before checking the result.
Give students one useful page instead of a folder of random links.
These are the PilotDesk pages most useful for a syllabus, ground lesson, instructor website, or student resource page.
Three questions. Same challenge for everyone.
Give students a fast weather, performance, systems, airport-operations, or decision-making challenge. They can share their score without creating an account.
Play today’s challenge →STUDY HUBSPrivate through CFI
Source-linked training hubs for private, instrument, commercial, multi-engine, and CFI study.
Open flight training →WEBSITE WIDGETSEmbed a calculator
Put selected PilotDesk calculators on a school or club site without maintaining the formula code yourself.
Build an embed →Student resource links
These public resources are available now. School accounts, instructor dashboards, student-group management, and shared-aircraft libraries are not offered.
Use whichever links fit your syllabus or lesson. There is no backlink requirement.
Printable Pilot Math Sheet
One-page formulas for common PPL/CPL math, with direct links back to the calculators and longer explanations.
PilotDesk Daily
Three aviation questions each day for a class warm-up, group chat challenge, or quick knowledge check.
Online E6B
Wind, time, fuel, altitude, performance, and conversions.
Crosswind Calculator
Share runway and wind examples with the inputs preserved in the link.
Density Altitude
Use the math as a lead-in to the actual POH performance chart.
METAR Decoder
Help students break a report into groups, then go back to the official weather source.
Flight Training Hubs
Private, instrument, commercial, multi-engine, and CFI study paths.
Why direct links are useful
Calculator links retain the entered values. Send a student the setup from a lesson, then have them change one input and explain the result.
Use Daily as a class warm-up
PilotDesk Daily gives the whole class the same three-question challenge each day. It works without an account, so a CFI can drop one link into a group chat or lesson page. Students who want completions and study progress saved across devices can sign in, but the quiz itself stays open.
No backlink required
Public PilotDesk tools and widgets do not require a reciprocal link. Use them if they help your students.
What to verify before teaching from a page
Use current approved sources: the FAA standard, regulation, handbook, chart, official weather source, and exact aircraft POH/AFM as the controlling material. PilotDesk publishes its sources and methods, includes correction links, and keeps aircraft-specific numbers out of generic articles when one universal number would be misleading.
