Planning and educational use only
PilotDesk provides convenience calculations, weather displays, training features and general aviation information. It is not an FAA-approved flight planning service, dispatch service, weather briefing service, electronic flight bag, aircraft flight manual, pilot operating handbook, maintenance manual, airworthiness determination or substitute for professional judgment.
Your responsibility
You are solely responsible for verifying inputs, results, weather, runway information, aircraft limitations, performance data, fuel requirements, weight and balance, regulatory compliance, NOTAMs and every operational decision using current approved sources. You must not rely on PilotDesk as the sole basis for a flight, maintenance action or safety-critical decision.
Optional accounts
You can use PilotDesk's core calculators without an account. If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining access to the email address or third-party sign-in account you use and for activity performed through your authenticated session.
Account features may save profile information, airports, aircraft profiles, calculations, challenge progress, XP, levels, streaks and other supported workspace data. These features are provided for convenience and training only. XP, levels, badges, streaks and similar rewards have no cash value and do not represent any aviation certificate, rating, endorsement, qualification or regulatory credit.
You may delete your PilotDesk account from the account page when self-service deletion is available. PilotDesk may also suspend or remove accounts that are used to interfere with the service, evade technical protections, abuse other users, or violate applicable law.
No guarantee of accuracy or availability
PilotDesk is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Calculations, third-party data, software, formulas, links, account sync and displays may contain errors, omissions, delays or outages. Features may change or be removed without notice.
Third-party information and services
Weather and other external information may come from third parties such as the U.S. Aviation Weather Center. Authentication, hosting, analytics, database and advertising functions may also rely on third-party providers. PilotDesk does not control those providers and does not warrant that third-party data or services are complete, current, uninterrupted or suitable for your intended operation.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PilotDesk and its owner, contributors and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, loss of profits, loss of data, loss of use, property damage, personal injury or other losses arising from or related to use of, inability to use, or reliance on PilotDesk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, any aggregate liability for claims relating to PilotDesk will not exceed the amount you paid to PilotDesk for the service giving rise to the claim during the twelve months before the claim; if you paid nothing, the maximum aggregate liability will be zero dollars except where such a limitation is not legally enforceable.
No waiver of non-waivable rights
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse PilotDesk, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, probe or bypass account protections, overwhelm its services, scrape it in a way that harms availability, impersonate another person, or use it for unlawful activity.
Your saved content
You retain responsibility for information you choose to enter or save in PilotDesk. Do not store information that you do not have the right to use or that would create unnecessary privacy or safety risk. PilotDesk is not designed to be a system of record for passenger data, medical information, security credentials, dispatch records, logbook records or other sensitive operational records.
Intellectual property
PilotDesk branding, original site design and original explanatory content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Government source material and third-party trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Privacy
Use of PilotDesk is also subject to the Privacy Policy, which explains optional account data, local browser storage, analytics, advertising and service providers.
Changes
These terms may be updated as PilotDesk changes. Continued use after updated terms are posted means you accept the revised terms.
These terms are intended to allocate risk for a free planning and training utility. They do not guarantee that every liability limitation will be enforceable in every jurisdiction.
