PRIVACY

Privacy Policy

Effective October 5, 2026. PilotDesk collects as little personal information as practical for the features it provides. Core tools do not require an account. Most convenience data can remain in your browser; if you choose to sign in, supported features may also sync account data so it is available across devices.

Optional PilotDesk accounts

If you create an account, PilotDesk uses Supabase for authentication and account data storage. Depending on how you sign in, PilotDesk may receive your email address and basic identity information supplied by the sign-in provider, such as a display name or profile image. You may also choose to save profile information such as your pilot stage and home airport.

Account features may store data you deliberately choose to sync, including saved airports, aircraft profiles, saved calculations, daily-challenge or study progress, XP, levels and streak information. PilotDesk does not need an account for its core calculators, and signing in should not turn every calculator input into stored account data automatically.

Authentication providers and Supabase process information under their own policies and security practices. If Google sign-in is enabled and you choose it, Google handles the Google authentication step and provides PilotDesk with the account information authorized for sign-in.

Information stored on your device

Aircraft profiles, favorites, recently visited PilotDesk pages, recently used tools, recent calculation summaries, saved calculator scenarios, saved flight-workspace values, last-used airport identifiers, usage preferences and similar convenience settings may be stored in your browser's local storage. Clearing PilotDesk site data in your browser may remove those locally stored items.

When you are signed out, these local items stay on that browser unless a feature specifically says otherwise. When you are signed in, features that offer account sync may copy the supported item into your PilotDesk account so it can be used on another device.

The saved/recent workspace shown in PilotDesk's app-style navigation is intended for convenience only and is not a flight record, logbook, dispatch record, or approved source.

If you use an export feature, your browser creates the exported file on your device. PilotDesk does not receive that file unless you independently choose to send or upload it somewhere else.

Weather and airport requests

When you request airport weather or airport-search information, the station identifier or search request is sent to a PilotDesk server endpoint so the requested aviation data can be retrieved. Normal request metadata may appear in hosting or security logs. Do not enter personal information into airport or weather search fields.

Analytics and performance

PilotDesk uses Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to understand site traffic and real-world performance. These services may process information such as page views, referrers, browser/device type, general location derived by the service, and page-performance measurements. PilotDesk also records limited product events such as a tool being opened, a calculator being completed, a weather search, whether a returned weather result was fresh or used a backup source, a Quick Start choice, a favorite or save action, a share action, an app-workspace drawer being opened, a continue/resume action, an aircraft profile action, an account sign-in action, an install prompt choice, or a guide leading to a calculator.

These product events identify the feature, page, or broad action rather than the numerical values you entered. PilotDesk is configured not to send passenger information, calculator inputs, Weight & Balance entries, search text, saved scenario values, saved flight-workspace values, or raw weather-search text as analytics-event properties.

Advertising and consent

PilotDesk uses Google AdSense to help support the free site. Google and its partners may use cookies, device identifiers or similar technologies to serve, measure and, where permitted, personalize advertising. Where required, a consent message may provide choices about advertising and related data processing. Google's policies and consent controls apply to Google's services.

PilotDesk does not intentionally provide Google Ads with aircraft-profile values, calculator inputs, Weight & Balance entries, saved scenarios, passenger information, or tail numbers for ad targeting. Manual ad placements remain inactive unless valid AdSense unit IDs are configured.

Error reporting

To find broken pages and JavaScript failures, PilotDesk may send a limited technical error report to hosting logs. The report format is intended to include technical error information and the page path while excluding aircraft profiles, calculator inputs and form contents.

Server and security logs

Hosting, authentication, database, security and advertising providers may automatically process technical information such as IP address, browser type, request time, requested URL, referrer and security-related information as part of operating their services. Retention and handling of provider-level logs are controlled by the applicable provider policies and settings.

Payments and data sales

PilotDesk Pro uses Stripe Checkout for payment and Stripe’s customer portal for billing changes and cancellation. PilotDesk sends Stripe your account email, an account identifier and the selected plan to connect the purchase to your account. Card details are entered on Stripe’s hosted checkout, not in a PilotDesk form. PilotDesk stores Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, plan, subscription status and billing-period information to manage access. Stripe processes payment information under its own privacy policy. PilotDesk does not sell aircraft-profile data, calculator-input data, or PilotDesk account data.

Your controls, access and deletion

You can keep using the core site without an account. You can sign out at any time. You can also permanently delete your PilotDesk account from the account page; deleting the authentication user is designed to remove account rows linked to that user. Locally stored browser data may remain until you clear the site's storage in that browser.

You can remove locally stored PilotDesk data by clearing the site's storage in your browser. Browser privacy controls and applicable Google consent controls can also limit cookies or advertising-related processing. Blocking advertising is not intended to disable PilotDesk's core calculator, saved-data, app-navigation, or offline features.

Public feedback reports

The PilotDesk feedback page can open a GitHub issue for you to review before posting. GitHub issues may be public. Do not include passwords, private passenger information, sensitive personal information, or security exploit details in a public report. For a suspected vulnerability, use GitHub's private vulnerability-reporting option if it is available for the repository, or request a private reporting channel without publishing exploit details.
