Aviation Disclaimer
PilotDesk is a convenience tool for training, study and preliminary planning. It is not approved, certified or endorsed by the FAA, NTSB, NOAA, National Weather Service, Aviation Weather Center, an aircraft manufacturer or an operator unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Calculators
Calculator results depend entirely on the values entered, the formula used and the assumptions stated. A mathematically correct result can still be operationally wrong for a specific airplane, airport, route, weather condition or regulation. Always compare results against current approved aircraft data and applicable rules.
Weather
The weather page is not an official weather briefing and does not include every product a pilot may need. Data may be delayed, incomplete, unavailable or changed by the source after PilotDesk displays it. Obtain a complete, current briefing and all required operational information from appropriate approved sources.
Runway wind components
Runway wind components are mathematical estimates based on reported wind and available runway identifiers. Runway headings may be rounded and airport data may be incomplete. Verify the actual runway, magnetic variation, reported wind, gusts, runway condition and aircraft crosswind limitations before use.
Weight and balance
The Weight & Balance Builder performs arithmetic only. It does not know the approved loading envelope, maximum weights, seat/baggage restrictions, fuel limitations or equipment configuration for your aircraft unless you manually enter data, and it does not determine whether an aircraft is legal or safe to fly.
Operational decisions remain yours
PilotDesk does not make go/no-go decisions, determine airworthiness, replace a checklist, replace instruction, provide ATC clearance, dispatch a flight or assume pilot-in-command responsibility. You are responsible for every decision made using information from the site.
No warranty
The site and all information are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement or uninterrupted availability, to the extent permitted by law.
