PilotDesk’s limits and data sources

PilotDesk provides calculators, weather displays, and training references. It is not an FAA-approved navigation source, official weather briefing, aircraft flight manual, dispatch release, ATC clearance, checklist, or emergency service.

Use approved information for flight decisions

Check current regulations, charts, NOTAMs, official weather, aircraft limitations, and performance data for the specific aircraft. Compare critical calculations with an independent method. Follow your instructor, operator procedures, and the aircraft’s POH/AFM. PilotDesk is a secondary cross-check, not the controlling source for a flight decision.

Calculator results

Calculators work from the values entered and the method described on the page. Check units, inputs, and assumptions before using a result. A correct calculation may still be unsuitable for a particular aircraft or situation. Use approved aircraft data for limitations, speeds, performance, and weight and balance.

Weather

PilotDesk weather displays are supplemental. Reports more than 90 minutes old are flagged. Check the observation time and data source, then get a complete briefing from official or approved sources. A METAR or TAF by itself is not a complete briefing.

Advertising

Ads load separately from calculators, saved data, and navigation. Advertising content does not change calculator formulas or weather results.

Saved information and privacy

Core calculators do not require an account. Some convenience features save information in your browser; account features may store progress and profile information. See the Privacy Policy for details about data and service providers.

Report a problem

If a calculation, source, airport record, or weather display appears wrong, stop relying on it and report the problem. Do not include passwords, passenger information, or sensitive security details in a public report.

Emergencies

PilotDesk is not monitored as an emergency service. Use the aircraft’s emergency procedures and established ATC, company, airport, or public-safety channels.
